The basic requirements for frozen food packaging are to maintain the product’s quality characteristics throughout the entire process—from production and transportation to sale—prevent bacterial contamination, and ensure ease of consumption. Currently, there are two main types of packaging for frozen foods: flexible packaging and rigid packaging. Flexible packaging is primarily based on plastic films. Rigid packaging, such as slightly thicker paper cartons and composite aluminum foil stamped containers, accounts for a significant proportion of the former.
During the production process, frozen food packaging is prone to the following issues:
1. The bags have poor impact resistance and are easily damaged by external forces during transportation, loading and unloading, and shelving. As a result, bag ruptures and openings frequently occur. This not only affects the appearance of the packaged products but also prevents the packaging from fulfilling its intended function.
2. The packaging bag itself has poor smoothness.
